(SOLVED) Windows behaviour can't be changed permanent?

Postby marchugo » Nov 16th, '23, 17:53

After installing MGA 9 successfully, I noticed that changing the windows behaviour (System Settings, Appearance, Colors, Oxygen) can't be made permanent.

After choosing for instance Oxygen (with the nice blue Windows Title), I can only click on the Apply button, but there is no OK button to make my choice permanent.

So after a restart Oxygen is not remembered. The default Breez Light modus with its grey window title shows up.

The same happens with the other Appearance settings: no OK button to make choices permanent.

Is this a bug in MGA 9, or am I doing something wrong?

Marc.

The Apply button is usually for the permanent change. OK usually means apply change now and Apply means apply now and permanently.

Apart from that, something similar was reported but only for the colorscheme: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=15109
But that was not clearly reproducible. If you can reproduce it reliably, feel free to report it upstream: https://bugs.kde.org/

I followed the advice in this topic: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=15109.
By using the Custom scheme, I was able to choose my favorite scheme. It's persistant after reboot.
Thanks for the hint.

Marc.
