[SOLVED] install vainfo

Hello,

I am new to Mageia.
I installed everything I needed with rpmdrake but,
I was unable to find in repos 'vainfo'

Is any way to install it?

Hi there, how did you search for it? As the package does not need to be named vainfo.
Also you need to change the default filter to "All" instead of the default "Packages with GUI" if you use the graphical software management.

vainfo is contained in the package libva-utils - you can also search for files with urpmf filename : https://wiki.mageia.org/en/URPMI#urpmf

- and click the magnifier glass icon in the search text field to select to search within package name, filename, description, or summary :)

Libva seems to have been a problem for many. Now, it prevents balena-etcher from starting to flash. There are suggestions that it may be an upstream problem.
