[SOLVED] Not able to install majeia 8

I have tried to install Majeia 8 but at a certain point once it formatted the drive and ready to install a message comes up "grub not found x86/64" and everytime it fails to install any help please

Hi there, some more details would be appreciated.
What media did you download and install from, and did you verify the checksum for that download ?
Did you boot your system in legacy/BIOS or UEFI mode for the installer? See e.g. https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Installing_o ... boot_media

Hello I choose the classsic installation from the mageia website I have a 64bit pc radeon 5550xt 4gb card and amd processor 5 series I tried to install mageia as said but after chosen the language, the installer goes ahead and format the disks then after that it tells to choose from core release and non free core release alright after chosen the non free core release and the next page on the display it says "grub not found x86/64" and it fails to install

I was able to install Mageia 8 by using the live section (gnome) please the build in firewall how to activate it to make it work ?

A short excerpt:
A basic firewall is installed by default with Mageia. All the incoming connections from the outside are blocked if they aren't authorised

Unless you run a mail server you really do not need anti-virus
