You can use any screencaster. Check e.g. recordmydesktop
But usually videos in firefox are from some webpage, why capture that instead of downloading them directly?

The Video that I wish to capture is only a section of the web page not the entire page.

So the question still stands, why not download it directly from that webpage?

Open a commandline terminal.
type youtube-dl <add a space>
Go to your firefox, and copy the URL using <CTRL>C
go back to the commandline, make sure the cursur is one space after youtube-dl
then, on terminal menubar, select paste to copy the URL behind youtube-dl
example...
youtube-dl https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIG7RmsDRik

Wouldn't this have been much easier if you simply asked in the first place: I'd like to download a video from youtube, how do I do that?

I am not actually downloading from youtube but a TV website and I didn't realise you could do it with a youtube downloader.
