RPMDB unlock fails on Mageia 6

I have 2 systems running Mageia 6. I reloaded them twice. I still get this error when the Mageia auto update is running.

A fatal error occured: unable to open rpmdb.

No, that's always an issue with the RPM database, as this is readable as regular user.

Please try as root with

rpm -v --rebuilddb


You may also want to check if there are any stale locks beforehand
