Postby mackowiakp » Jan 23rd, '17, 10:14

I got second time such error from 'cron.monthly'

Code: Select all
Local version: 20151106
Remote version:
could not extract the actual data of remote microcode
run-parts: /etc/cron.monthly/update-microcode exited with return code 1

Is it known bug or any workaround possible?

Could be related to https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18037 but you don't specify basic information like if you have an AMD or Intel cpu.
Although I'd say that the microcode_ctl package needs to be updated, seems some URL is outdated or has moved elsewhere.
From a quick check on /usr/sbin/update-intel-microcode at least for the RSS URL http://feeds.downloadcenter.intel.com/r ... 3&lang=eng only gives a 404.
