Unable to install Plex Media server

Postby srikar » Jul 21st, '16, 16:43

I'm running Mageia 6 sta1 on my desktop machine and I'm trying to install Plex Media server 1.0.0 on it. But during installation, I run into issues. Below is the exact error:

Code: Select all

Any ideas on how to fix this issue is much appreciated. Thanks

You need policycoreutils.
Code: Select all
urpmi policycoreutils

Still fails because we don't have full SELinux support.
You could try to install it with
Code: Select all
rpm -ivh --noscripts plexmediaserver-1.0.0.2261-a17e99e.x86_64.rpm
although you'd have to replicate everything that's in the %pre/%post scripts manually afterwards.

Installing policycoreutils resolved the issue for me. I'm in the cauldron repo for Mageia 6 (nothing debug or the like) and using the latest version of Plex Media Server 1.1.4.2757 Fedora rpm (<< I know, I know, shouldn't install other rpms...). Thanks for the suggestion! :D
