Is it possible to format or partition a hard drive using bios? I have Bodhi Linux stuck on my computer it shows the entry screen but never the desktop, it will not download. Sound familiar?

If you ask for BIOS, are you asking about partitioning for legacy/non-UEFI mode or do you want to format your harddisk using only your BIOS?

No. If you don't provide any details about your setup, where your bootloader is installed and which bootloader you're using, and where the linux distros are installed and how you boot them and some more context information.
Also what do you mean about download, and which entry screen? Bootloader, splash screen, login manager?
