How do I install java for my web browser

Postby jbarntt56 » Apr 30th, '16, 05:42

System: Mageia 5 x64, fully updated
Browser: Palemoon x64 latest - 26.2.1

I would like to install java, as I visit some web sites that require it. FYI - Palemoon is a fork of Firefox. When I go to the install packages and search on "java" the choices are bewildering. Any help, much appreciated.

TIA,

Thanks, Jim

I will install icedtea-web. Unfortunately a recent update to the rpm system borked my ability to use the Add or Remove Packages feature in the Control panel. Subject for a new post for help I guess.
