[SOLVED] Removing cloudfront

Hi,

I have checked on google and followed some of the suggestions but all of them have not functioned. I keep getting pages routed to this cloudfront.net. Anyone else have this problem? Looking for a the answer to this problem. Thanks.

What pages, and routed how? Are you talking about an issue with your browser?
Please explain your issue a bit more verbosely.

Cloudfront is a security service used by many websites. Many hosting companies make it available for either free or very nominal cost to webmasters.

You have no control over whether you are routed to it or not; if you visit a site that uses cloudfront, you will go through their servers enroute to your goal.

Thanks for the response. I am using firefox. It seems to be occurring randomly. Whenever a page takes too long to load I check the status line at the bottom the browser it usually states waiting for cloudfront.net. I have followed directions on a number of pages list on google based on a cloudfront seach. All of them are unsuccessful. There must be other people having this problem. Thanks for your help.

It seems you didn't really read the reply from jiml8. If you don't want to see those pages, don't visit the sites that use this service.

I'm sorry, I made a mistake in my previous post, though it does not change what I have to say to OP about it.

Cloudflare is the security service I was thinking of.

Cloudfront is an Amazon product associated with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Cloudfront is a content delivery system, similar to Akamai. If a site uses Cloudfront to host some of its content, then you are going to connect with cloudfront when you visit that site. Period.

Ok. Thanks for all the responses. I now understand. I had thought that I had a virus of some sort on my laptop. Basically if I avoid the offending web sites I will not encounter the cloudfront.net problem. Thanks.
