[SOLVED]The systems setting manual

Postby nigelc » Dec 15th, '15, 12:05

Hello,
The system setting was missing so I downloaded it from the Mageia Control Centre.
Now it has an error which seems to be the wrong path.

The requested help file could not be parsed:<br/>/usr/share/doc/HTML/en//systemsettings/index.docbook

There are 2 slashes here :
HTML/en//systemsettings/

The files are in the right directory
ls /usr/share/doc/HTML/en/systemsettings
index.cache.bz2 index.docbook

Cheers
Nigel

What did you download from MCC in particular, which package names? And what Mageia release is this about, Mageia 5?

The 2 slashes are irrelevant, linux will ignore additional ones if encountered. Can you please show the output as root of
Code: Select all
rpm -V kdebase4-workspace-handbooks
Cauldron is not for the faint of heart!
Caution: Hot, bubbling magic inside. May explode or cook your kittens!

Doktor5000,
This is what I downloaded:
rpm -qa |grep systemsettings-hand
systemsettings-handbook-5.1.2-1.mga5

I am using Mageia 5.

rpm -V kdebase4-workspace-handbooks
package kdebase4-workspace-handbooks is not installed

cheers

That's why I asked, you installed the manual/help for the plasma5 version of systemsettings, you want kdebase4-workspace-handbooks.
