Shutdown/Logout Applet Intermittent

I have an intermittent problem with Shutdown/Logout Applet it works sometimes but othertimes there is no response when clicking to shutdown and I have to shutdown via the console. Running Mageia 5 fully updated.

It might help if you would mention which desktop environment you're using.
