Is that in KDE? In Konsole?
Some more information could greatly help.

Do you really think it helps if you crosspost stuff from other threads across multiple other threads? This issue is about copy&paste, not about linux mint or your second harddisk.

And you did not answer to the question about how you actually tried to copy&paste yet, and which terminal you use. Options would be:

- via mouse right-click context menu
- via the menu bar of your terminal emulator
- via Ctrl+Shift+C (copy) and Ctrl+Shift+V (paste) which should work at least in gnome-terminal and konsole and others adhering to defacto standards
- via X clipboard, simply copy by dragging over text with pressed left button, and paste via middle-mouse click

If none of that works, you should seriously consider reinstallation using some standard image, or at least test one of the premade live images from your USB stick.

From your reply in the other thread it seems copy&paste is working now, which option did work?

You should maybe consider installing a clipboard manager like parcellite or similar, maybe it helps.
Or use a regular minimal desktop like XFCE, LXDE or LXQt instead of IceWM.
