Newbie to Mageîa

Hello there to everyone in the world of the rising MageiA, I have just installed MageiA 2 on a ToshibA Qosmi0, which has a certain age. Seems to function very well. I know that it is an old virsion so I tryed to do an upgrade to MageiA 5 and received this message.

(1) Problem reading synthesis file of medium "core Release"
(2) Error generating names file: dependency 0 not found.

What am I missing?
Cheers, Frank.

Hi frankiewizard.

Such upgrade is not supported. Only from n to n + 1 as in most of the other distributions. I would reinstall Mageia 5. Of course I would create a backup of important user files before that ;). That's always needed anyway.
