Differences between Mageia 4 & 4.1?

Postby infohou » Apr 4th, '15, 01:26

Hello,

I did the command line Internet upgrade of my Mageia 3 server to Mageia 4 last night (early this morning actually). How do I know if I am on 4.1?

Also, I did a search but cannot get X to launch with the crummy MGA chip in my Poweredge T110. Anybody know a trick? I have tried several different options using drakx11 but have not yet manually edited the file like the old days. Not really critical as I started with kernel .9 and can get by with bash.

Thanks folks,
Robert A. Ober

As an operating system there is no such thing as Mageia4.1.
The 4.1 install media was just a fix for the 4 install media.
Either one if it installs successfully gives you Mageia4.
