Can not access external hard drive

Hello,

Please help,I have an issue with my external hard drive I was checking it on my laptop and the power went off, whenever I attempted to use it, it shows with the name local disk which generally the name was components and when I double click to open it, it takes forever and doesn't open and even stops my computer.

Please help me, thanks!

Please next time create a new thread for your issue.

Some basic information is still required: What filesystems did you use for that harddrive? NTFS, FAT, ext4, ... ?
Did the power outage affect only the harddrive, or did it affect your laptop (which would imply that the harddrive does not have a separate power supply, please say so if this is the case).

Please do the following after unplugging your harddrive - Open a terminal, and as root run:
Code: Select all
journalctl -af

then wait a few seconds, and plugin the harddrive, and wait again twenty seconds or so, until no new output appears.

Afterwards you can stop the journalctl output via Ctrl+C, then please run as root
Code: Select all
lsblk -fl

Then post everything here.
