[SOLVED] DVD burning SW

Postby turboscrew » Oct 3rd, '14, 18:54

Is there a "default" DVD burning program (capable of burning ISOs)?
Is there supposed to be one installed by default? (Like K3b)?
If so, how can I find it? I have no such program in the menu - or then I don't recognise such.

It's just that I searched the SW installer of the MCC for K3b, and it seemed to be selected, and
pressing "apply" resulted to "Please select a packet first".
So it kind of looks like it is already installed, but...

Yes, unless you do a real minimal installation without suggested packages. Depending on what desktop environment you chose,
you should have either k3b (KDE) or brasero (GNOME and some others) installed by default.

k3b can be found in Tools -> System Tools -> k3b (yeah, I know - not really obvious)

Can you please post a screenshot about that? Also show the output of
Code: Select all
rpm -q k3b

Aah, there it is. Thanks!
I'm about to burn Sabayon for another machine of mine - more for programming/embedded than general use.
I'll give it a try, because Mint, Ubuntu, Debian and Slackware don't seem to support qemu and debuggers too well.
(Plus I really hate Unity.)
