Emergency mode on boot

Postby rabirland » Sep 20th, '14, 19:14

I'm new to Linux, and i like Mageia so i thought its a good choice to start the change from Windows to Linux with Mageia OS...
But its very true that i'm new to it, every time when i start to start the Mageia it just boot into the Emergency mode... (Mageia 4 installed on flat partition, ETX4, 6Gb SWAP, 64bit Magiea, 6Gb RAM installed)
Sometimes it (really strange) start and fully functional, but in most cases it doesnt...
So i dont know what can i do in Emergency mode, i cant provide further information, but if you give me short details how can i tell more detail about the problem, i can post the results...

So any known solution which doesnt require to reinstall the OS ?

Can you please show the content of your /etc/fstab? In a terminal run
Code: Select all
cat /etc/fstab

Also, do you currently have a windows isntalled in parallel on that machine?

Well, i entered the Magiea installer on my boot media (did not installed Mageia, not even started the install)
But now i'm getting Error 22 from GRUB...
Also the answer:
I have 2 HDD in my PC, the 160 Gb is held for the Windows,
And i installed Magiea on the 1 Tb HDD (on a 100 Gb Partition)
