Ask here your questions about basic installation and usage of Mageia. For example you may post here all your questions about getting Mageia isos and installing it, configuring your printer, using your word processor etc.
Try to ask your questions in the right sub-forum with as much details as you can gather. the more precise the question will be, the more likely you are to get a useful answer

You have a segmentation fault error as shown..Hmmmm; what C library are you using? Maybe your perl engine is trying to link against a bad lib..!
Start by checking the libraries you're linking against and probably you can show us the core dumped

What Mageia version do you run, what desktop environment do you use and which graphical theme do you use currently?

I am using mageia 4, glibc 2.18.Here is the information:
- Code: Select all
[root@localhost sda7]# urpmq -i glibc
Name : glibc
Version : 2.18
Release : 9.mga4
Group : System/Libraries
Size : 17990911 Architecture: i586
Source RPM : glibc-2.18-9.mga4.src.rpm
URL : http://www.gnu.org/software/libc/
Summary : The GNU libc libraries
Description :
The glibc package contains standard libraries which are used by
multiple programs on the system. In order to save disk space and
memory, as well as to make upgrading easier, common system code is
kept in one place and shared between programs. This particular package
contains the most important sets of shared libraries: the standard C
library and the standard math library. Without these two libraries, a
Linux system will not function. The glibc package also contains
national language (locale) support.
This package now also provides ldconfig which was package seperately in
the past. Ldconfig is a basic system program which determines run-time
link bindings between ld.so and shared libraries. Ldconfig scans a running
system and sets up the symbolic links that are used to load shared
libraries properly. It also creates a cache (/etc/ld.so.cache) which
speeds the loading of programs which use shared libraries.
