Cashew

Hi,
Is there any way in Mageia to remove the cashew from the upper right corner of the screen?
I did not find i-hate-cashew plasmoid in the repos (and I heard it doesn't work in KDE 4.6)...
I am using stealth-chasew, but unlike i-hate-cashew it doesn't really remove the image, but makes it transparent, so that the menu still appears when I hover the mouse over the corner.
Doesn't anyone know of any other ways to remove it?

Thank you.

The real simple solution is to just drag it down to the lower corner so it gets covered up by the system tray.

I agree the cashew is annoying and totally pointless. It does not do anything you cannot do just by right clicking on the desktop

OK, done it.
Thank you!
You are totally right... when you get an optional feature (which is absolutely useless) and can't turn it off - it is just stupid. I could understand it if they put KDE logo there - at least in that case it would be an advertisement of KDE :-).

Well, to each his own. Nice fact it is possible to move it around. :)
But in my case, with a wallpaper which is mostly black at the borders,
you don't even recognize the cashew anymore. Only on mouseover
it gets colored. Nice effect!

Which cashew?
There is no cashew on my desktop because it is hidden behind the windows I am working in. When I'm not working I don't look at the screen (the sceen is black) so I don't see the cashew either.

Like i wrote, to each his own. Seems some people are really productive and not only staring on a blank desktop ;)

Yeah there is a taste aspect of it. While I do do some work like picture, sound and video editing. I mostly watch movies, listen to podcasts and play games. So for nonproductive reasons I like an empty desktop, with clear tool bars/ panels because I do not want icons and other junk (like on Windblow$) covering up my family pictures and land scape photos.

May be right, but as about everything is configurable in Linux environments, the cashew could have been (or maybe is?) as well.
I think it's quite a legitimate question, and must say, i am very curious too, about how to get rid of it.

In the second comment there's a pastebin link with a patch against I-hate-the-Cashew Plasmoid
for KDE 4.6. So someone should get a package request going, if you're interested in removing that Cashew.

I have a small rectangle in the upper right hand corner that has a small cashew plus the word desktop. I think this is a carry over from ML2010.2.

Have seen the same thing in my Cauldron-environment.

Unlock the widgets, click, hold and move it to stick it in the corner and it'll change into an icon without text.

Thanks Ahmad, that did the trick, it's just about logical thinking. ;-)
