Flash player - Falsely and repeatedly requires update

Postby andrew-lohmann » May 11th, '14, 11:11

A problem has arisen with Flash player repeatedly requires an update.
The problem arose on Wednesday 7 May 2014 but has diminished in severity by Saturday.

The worst effected website is; http://www.dailymotion.com/
But it also effects; https://www.youtube.com/

The problem is least apparent with fast internet access and a fast computer (In the Public Library).
It effects Windows XP or Mageia but not Manjaro (even on a slower memory stick but running Firefox 28)
It effected Windows Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox 29 until a Microsoft and Firefox were update on 8 or 9 May resolved the issue.

I think the problem is that Mageia 4 is running an older version of Firefox 24.5.0
PC I use as a desktop at home;
IBM xSeries 206m - Server with IDE (Linux) drive and SATA (Windows) drive, 64 Bit processor and 1GB of DRAM.
There is a BIOS warning at start up associated with the PCI soundcard.
Linux; Mageia 4 & Windows XP
