For any of you that dont know what Bino is, as a point of interest.
Bino is one of the few video applications that provides Linux, Windows
and Macosx 3DStereo support for movies that are encoded in
3D. This includes the high quality modern day movies, so popular with 3D TV's
It does not require an integrated solution like nvidea 3D
just that your monitor is able to run , and your graphics card can provide
120 hts min frame refresh.
when displaying a movie in 3D the monitor displays each 3D from or each side of the screen for SBS 3D
in alternate frames and the glasses should be able to sync with the monitor.
because its alternate frame 120 hts, its effectivly 60 herts half HD.
what Bino provides that vlc and mplayer does not is the ability to adjust the overlay of those two sides,
where the camera work may not be perfect, (rarly accounts for all viewing angles)
so that the two halves are overlayed as close as you can get.
its also alows you to have the input in one mode and the output in another , increasing the formats your monitor can handle.
and finaly it allows you to change the sides of perspective incase they have got out of sync.
origional report:
Bino crashes the X11/KDE system when pushed to full screen
this is Bino 1.4.2
combined with latest updates, nvidia proprientry drivers, as supplied by mageia update.
Geforce GTX560
Full HD monitor
I suspect this is fixed in 1.44 which has been anounced.
