I have couple of friends using Mageia and to distribute my tunings for them I made this http://www.dumbot.net/wiki/index.php/MageiaConfig page. I decided to post it also here since it might be useful to someone else and not everything is always available from Google :)

You should write some bugs for the missing packages.

I've written also bugs but for some configs it's not always easy to write bug report. Especially when target is tuning instead of missing feature.

You could write a script which does the necessary checks, installs the packages (after they have been included due to bug reports ;) )
and does to relevant changes. Then put this in the wiki and communicate it on the mailing lists.
