thunderbird cant do multi move from imap folder to another

so basicly, i have no problem with thunderbird 2, it works fine in mga 3

but 24.2 ie the newest one for mageia 3 cant do multiselect and move between imap folders.

this is not just thunderbird its all the derived versions as well like iceape.

thunderbird 2, grab several 20-30 emails, move them to another imap folder no problem.

thunderbird 24.2 and iceape.

just move one at a time, even when 30 grabbed or eeven when just 2 grabbed.

imap server is cyrus.

Although I've not heard of such a general issue yet (doesn't mean that TB is still full of bugs / missing features :p )

well i tried, but did not expect much as im getting quite despondent with moz lately.

and i was not surprised.

im using an older version of cyrus, but androids mail client, outlook, and kmail dont have this problem.

their suggestion is to upgrade the cyrus server to a newer version.

yes well, did not expect much, hence why im still on thunderbird 2.0.24, and will be for the foreseeable future.
