Need help starting services with systemd

I recently did a fresh install of Mageia 3 from Mandriva 2010. There's been some changes that I'm having trouble with. I'm trying to get a l4d2 server and transmission-daemon to start with systemd, but I'm having a terrible time getting the service script created. I can run my scripts manually but systemd won't start anything. Would someone have a template system script they could post or point me to a tutorial on systemd?
