Keyboard layout for Macbook Air

I have just received a new Macbook Air. I tried out the Mageia 3 live DVD (on a thumb drive) but could not get Wi-fi or sound to work. However, installing on a VM with VirtualBox works!

My keyboard is the UK version, but I could not get any of the keyboard layouts in keyboarddrake to work correctly: the nearest I could get was "US Keyboard" layout and "Macbook Pro" as keyboard type. With this layout, the "tilde/backquote" key (to the right of Left Shift) gives <> and the "+- section" key (top right, to the left of 1) gives tilde/backquote.

xev reports keycode 94 for tilde/backquote and keycode 49 for "+- section".

Note: the Caps Lock key returns two events when pressed:: key press plus key release.
However, it can be turned into a Control key in the Mac System Preferences, and then works correctly in the VM.
