[SOLVED] mageia control center:fatal error

Hello,

I wanted to install some library from the mageia control center (MCC) and after clicking on "install and remove software" this is what I got in a notification window:

A fatal error occured: Couldn't open RPM DB () at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.16.3/Rpmdrake/opn_db.pm line 74. .

I have the choice to click "ok" on the window.
The same goes with "update your system".

After "ok", no software (installed or to be installed) could be found and no update is possible.

Anyone has ever encountered this problem? I have barely used my newly installed mageia in the past several days, and only installed wine (with MCC, which was then still function) after a manual laborious installation of openCV.

Your rpm database may have become corrupted. As root, execute the following commands:

rm -f /var/lib/rpm/__db*
rpm --rebuilddb
