[SOLVED] KDE4 service menu and login manager problems

Postby zeke » May 31st, '13, 17:09

I am having problems with the service menus and the logout manager.

I had no service menus after a fresh upgrade using my old .kde4 folder. When I right-clicked in konsole, it crashed and I had to terminate the process with kwin manager. Right-clicks in other situations did nothing.

I generated a new .kde4 folder, and got my service menus back, but Konsole still crashes if I try to right-click to copy text.

Also, the logout manager button on the panel and in the menu do nothing when I click on them. This was true before and after generating a new .kde4 directory.

Try moving the ~/.config folder as well.

It was AdobeReader gumming up the upgrade.

Should have been removed prior to upgrading, as documented in Errata: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_3_Err ... ade_Issues
Also, next time please try to use a more meaningful thread title, i've changed that now.
