[SOLVED] Mixing x86_64 and i586 programs?

Postby tkmm » May 24th, '13, 00:22

Hello! I haven't run a 64bit OS until Mageia 3 came out. I want to install wine, but whe I select it in MCC or with urpmi I notice that some of the packages are for i586. Is it 'safe' to install i586 packages on a 64bit system running a 64bit OS? Thank you.
