Hello,
I have an LG X130 netbook (running Mageia 2) and I had the once-troublesome Ralink rt3090 pci wifi card working just fine after installing the ralink-firmware package. I was rather unhappy with the range it had, so i purchased a usb dongle -- TP-Link TL-WN722N. It didn't work out of the box, but after installing kernel-firmware-nonfree, it worked just fine. Unfortunately, now the rt3090 no longer worksand does not show up in network manager (both when the usb dongle is plugged in and when it is not) , but it is detected when I run lspci, though there is no 'kernel driver in use' entry. When I run lsmod | grep rt2 or rt3, it outputs nothing.
I tried reinstalling the ralink-firmware but that failed to work. Would it be possible that one of the modules in the kernel-firmware-nonfree is conflicting with the RT3090 module? How would one go about solving this problem?
Thank you in advance for any advice.
