cant execute basic commands

Postby pcdebb » Apr 10th, '13, 10:14

Hello all

I'm not sure what is wrong, but I can't seem to run basic commands like "make" and "apt-get" for example. it says things like bash: apt-get: command not found. I'm fairly new to linux but I've run commands before, totally new to mageia.

is there something that hasnt been installed or has been removed? If it was removed, I didn't do it.

make needs to be installed, apt-get is not available in mageia.

urpmi is the Mageia equivalent of apt-get,
please read

https://wiki.mageia.org/en/URPMI

so you could use (as root)

Code: Select all
urpmi make
