I'm having issues booting my KDE installation of mageia. Worked great for about a week and now it freezes right before the login page should be displayed. I can use alt+ctl+f2 and load a new shell and startx just fine. anybody have any ideas?

That didn't work - still hangs on boot.

Is this with Mageia 2? If you press Esc key during normal boot, what is the last message that you can see?
