weird behavior on desktop + lost wastebin

Hello guys. I have finally installed Mageia2 in my laptop (no Windows, just Mageia) and it's been a lot of fun, but I have some questions:

1. I installed Mageia2 just with LXDE and reading the wiki (https://wiki.mageia.org/en/LXDE_desktop) I found that I should have had two Icons on my first login: Home and Wastebin. Well, there were none, just the desktop with no icons. It wouldn't be a great deal if I knew where the wastebin is, so I could add the icon to the desktop, but I haven't been able to find it. How can I do that?

2. I have noticed some weird behavior with the icons on my desktop. For example, say I have a couple of icons for Firefox and Gnumeric and I try to left-click (just one click) one of them to highlight it, but nothing happens, the icon is not highlighted. Instead, if I right-click an icon, it is highlighted and an option menu is displayed, as we are all used to. How can I correct this? (Note: If I try to launch, say, Firefox from the icon by double(left)-clicking it gets launched normally, but the icon is not highlighted anyway)

1/ Mageia 1 put wastebin icons on the desktop, Mageia 2 does not.

However it is easy enough to put them on your self.

Open up leafpad text editor and create a file called Desktop/Home.desktop

There is a Bug Report https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5941 covering Home and Wastebin icons in LXDE. If you gave it an upvote it might get some attention.


2/ That is not weird behaviour. That is what LXDE does. Double clicking on an icon will open it. Single clicking does nothing.
If you want to change how Openbox (The Window Manager used by LXDE) behaves then from your Menu>Tools>OpenboxConfigurationManager
