Driver for Logitech c270h

Will there be a driver for the Logitech c270h in Mageia 3 when it is released? I am currently running Mageia 2 and cannot get my webcam to function.

I dont know that webcam, perhaps you could provide us with some info on it.

Webcams usualy belong to a family, so it would be usefull to know what one its from.

Lsusb and the output from dmesg when you plug it in after a reboot would also be helpfull, just the last lines from the result of plugging it in will do.

I have lots of logitec webcams and they usualy all work, even with mageia 1, although sometimes some family s of devices have some minor issues.

if it is an uvc-compliant model(and it really is) it should work without any special driver.
for windows problems reboot; for linux problems be root

yes alf, but logitec do two lines of webcam

cheap: could be anything

expensive: uvc complient.

I have just the expensive ones , ie the 4000 5000 7500, all uvc.

some of there cheap ones of the past for example include:

QuickCam Communicate and Quickcam express which like microsofts Microsoft VX-3000 are all
gspca devices, and usualy (talking from a couple of years back perspectiv) come with a bunch of software issues.

a quick google about gets me http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1718575

which appeared to solve this users issue.

maybe this will solve the issue.
