Cannot select package LibreOffice in MCC

Postby PeterTheBike » Nov 11th, '12, 14:57

Due to my misunderstanding, I uninstalled LibreOffice and installed OpenOffice to get a MySQL database working. I now realise I was trying to use the wrong connector.

So in MCC I have uninstalled OpenOffice, but when I try to reinstall LibreOffice I get:

Code: Select all
Sorry, the following package cannot be selected:

- libreoffice-3.5.3.2-1.mga2.i586

What do I need to do please?

Thanks, that gave me:

Code: Select all
In order to satisfy the 'libreoffice-langpack[== 3.5.5.3-0.3.mga2]' dependency, one of the following packages is needed:
1- libreoffice-langpack-en-3.5.5.3-0.3.mga2.i586: English language pack for LibreOffice (to install)
2- libreoffice-langpack-nso-3.5.5.3-0.3.mga2.i586: Northern Sotho language pack for LibreOffice (to install)
What is your choice? (1-2) 1

So being from the UK the choice of 1 was easy! :)

Doesn't MCC have the ability to give you options like that?

Yes it does.

I was expecting you to get a message along the lines of :-

"package libreoffoffice-version cannot be installed in order to retain package libopenoffice-something_or_other"
