Kopete problem with yahoo plugin

Postby jeevanism » Oct 4th, '12, 10:05

Hello All,

I am very much excited to use Mageia as my main OS (I was using OpenSuse 11.4 for last 2 yeas). I installed Mageia 2 Gnome Live CD and configured all required repositories. Now everything working like charm but Kopete is playing con with me. I tried to configure my yahoo chat ID, it gave me an error says

error. cannot load yahoo plugin
.

I have installed kopete via software manager and it selects all required dependencies. I tried to update kopete version but it is the latest one available in repo. I installed kdenetwork files and all other possible dependencies.

Still no luck, I cannot add my gtalk id, same error is popping up. Any help on this?

thank you.

In the meantime you could try to use Pidgin instead as a workaround, works here just fine with ICQ, Yahoo, IRC and some others - all under KDE ... ;)
