BOOT PROBLEM

Hey all. I just tried out Mageia. Pretty nice. Kudos for what you all have accomplished.

I have found something, though. I was having trouble booting the LiveCDs. I downloaded them all and checksummed them, and none of them would work. Burn them to CD, even DVD, and put them on USB thumbdrives using Unetbootin. Nothing worked. So I gave it one last shot from the USB drive, and it booted - but the odd thing is that it *started* booting from the USB drive, stopped about 1/3 through the boot process, then started booting *from the CD I had left in the drive* to finish to get to the desktop.

I have replicated this on all the machines in my house. It happens the same each time. Nothing will boot from the USB drives or any DVD/CD separately, but together it works. It will go through 1/4 to 1/3 of the way through always starting from the USB drive, then finish off the CD and run off the CD.

Im not a Linux guru so I don't have the skills needed to poke around and find what's going on, but Im putting this up in case someone smarter can know whats going on and hopefully fix it.

Oh, and I'm not the only one having this problem - a quick Google search about Mageia not booting finds other webpages talking about it, but they think theyre the only ones as no one has posted anythign about it yet. Hopefully by my posting this, it will help others. Thanks, and congratulations again.
