After a installed Mageia 2 it is impossible to show or register/save new events in Korganizer.
I'm runnig x86-64. Korganizer Version 4.8.2- ()
I have tried to search for the old file/calender with no luck.
The new file is std.ics which looks like contain the old information. But nothing is shown in Korganizer.

Can not second this experience.
Adding new events on KOrganizer goes as expected.

I didn't upgrade, but make a fresh install with a fresh /home.
The stc.ics is placed in the same folder as in Mageia1, in /home/marja/.kde4/share/apps/korganizer
I overwrote std.ics with the original file from Mageia 1, after opening korganiser I didn't see anything.
Then I ticked the box before (In Dutch) "Persoonlijke agenda" on the left, so before the calendar icon.
Immediately, all my appointments appeared
I hope ticking that box will solve your problem
