[SOLVED]Multiple Desktops does not work

Hey all,
first of all thanks for all your hard work.

I installed mageia 2 (X64) from Live CD. I have a big problem with the virtual desktops.
When I switch to 2,3,4th desktop the background is black. Right click on desktop does nothing, there is no Plasma corner (upper right), right click on pager or task bar does nothing.
Clicking on activities or launching the browser automatically switch the desktop to first one, which is the only one usable.

Any idea what is going on ?

Was there an existing /home partition on the drive? I mention this because there is a known issue in the errata about installing using Live CD with an existing /home

If you create a new user does the new user have the same problem?

Hi djennings . Tnx for your reply.
No, I reformated the partition at install.

The problem seems to be related to enabling of 3d effects.
After I disabled them and restarted the X server, logged back in and I saw that I had 2 pannels on top of each other.
They didn't looked that way with 3d enabled (and no 3d at all BTW). Once I removed one of them the desktop started to behave normaly.
So.... watch out for 3d effects
