Issue to transfer addressbook contacts with akonadi in 2

Postby mageman » May 23rd, '12, 23:15

Hello
i have just installed Mageia 2 over Mageia 1 and have issues to transfer my contacts from Kmail/Kaddressbook
I did it previously by copying vcf files from my old home to my new home, but I don't manage to do it with Akonadi:

It seems that when I create a new contact under kaddressbook, akonadi is creating a new contacts folder in my old home folder:
/home/old_home/.local/share/contacts/

So i think I have to correct first KDEHOME or KDEDIRS, but I have them both pointing to my new home directory :
/home/new_home

(in kde "systems settings" )

I couldn't find anything good on internet beside the following explanations....therefore my message in this forum
http://techbase.kde.org/KDE_System_Admi ... _Hierarchy

Does anyone know where to correct these environment variables ?
And how to transfer contacts during the installation ?

Many thanks in advance

Could you please give some more details about that /home/old_home and your new home and the reasons for that and what you want to achieve, why do you have such a setup and which is your current user?
