I have used KDE since it came out in Caldera 2.2 (?) and went through the 'I don't like this' phase with early 4.0 KDE after 3.51 which I liked a lot for ease of custom setup. The last few releases of KDE have been very good though and I still prefer it to gnome, which would honestly make me quit using Linux altogether if it was my only choice.
