Be prepared to have a lively time for your stomach and affiliates :)

A little story related to local food and its consequences:

During a Linux World Expo in Frankfurt, Germany, a couple of years ago I was the Mandriva representative at a Mandriva demo post, hosted by AMD. One day a medium aged couple who worked for AMD asked for a good local restaurant and I took them to one of our famous "Ebbelwoi"¹ places. It's a large place with large tables, people just join in where there are free places. You get in touch with the locals and other tourists, so in combination with the beverages you will soon be in a very good mood (German "Gemütlichkeit").
Not that I did not warn them! "Go easy on the combination of Sauerkraut, sausages, cook-cheese², Eisbein (knuckle of pork) and young apple wine!". But as people from Texas go ("We are not afraid from any food, we are from Texas!") they dug right into it. We had a very nice evening, lots of talking and singing - in the end I called them a taxi cab to go back to their hotel.
Next morning they did not show up at the fair ground. Everybody was waiting because they were needed... They showed up an hour late and all they said was, "You were right! I made it just in time to the bathroom and we had a very busy night!"

Now this was years ago and I can't remember their names, but I still remember their faces and that they had to leave the booth at emergency speed every now and then...

¹ = wine made from apple juice but not sparkling like cider and a bit more alcohol in it. The young apple wine has a strong influence on your bowels' activity!
² = cook-cheese is described of French origin but is also a local food in our area (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cancoillotte )

Actually, due to the sensitive nature of my target palettes (my sisters) there are no hot peppers involved. Those are sweet bell peppers of the red, green, orange and yellow variety. The only thing there that might be termed spicy are the onions in the sauce. (It's layered like a lasagna: sauce, eggplant slices, sauce, mozzarella cheese, eggplant, peppers, Parmesan cheese).

Sounds very tasty, i think you Brazilians have much higher standard of enjoying food than us potato-eaters in the Netherlands.

I'm not a Brazilian, but I'll take that as a compliment. :mrgreen:
I'm just some guy who likes to make and eat yummy food, not restricted to any locale or cuisine. Whatever seems interesting to me at the time.
Also, as a general rule I don't use recipes, so don't bother asking me for one. Unless you like an ingredients list that includes "some spices and stuff until it smells and tastes right". :lol:

Also, there are tons of interesting and exciting things one can do with potatoes.

Dieting and working out, need to be fit and lose about 5 kilos. Now I have 83.
Starting Wing Chun training in Monday. Monday, Wednesday and Friday is for Wing Chun. Rest of the days parkour.
Breakfast was joghurt, and 2 rare eggs swallowed.

Dinner: probably rice with some sweet/sour sauce.

Nothing else...

My mom and grandma are usually making these but they fill it with soya(not necceseraly) +grinded meat cooked in a tomato sauce-like soup.
When you warm it up, the next day is even better... Max where are you from?

Today is Friday, aka 'fish day'.
I just had dorade¹ , stuffed with herbs, wrapped in foil and grilled on a charcoal grill², served with princess potatoes and a glass of cold Frascati (italian white wine) - life can be wonderful!

¹ according to wikipedia it is called "gilt-head bream" in English
² I was watching the grill and opened the wine, so this post qualifies for the topic :)

I am from several countries and at least 2 continents.
My lineage is even more expansive (including another continent and 4 more countries), so I have quite a bit of cultural cuisine to draw from. I particularly enjoy mixing flavors and foods from different cultures into something new and (surprisingly more often than not) delicious.
Those peppers were stuffed with a mixture of ground turkey and rice, along with various other seasonings and flavors.

Speaking of fish, when we don't feel like cooking, we go buy some of the best fried fish in two states! :lol:
