[SOLVED] Looking for Offline Pingus Music Files

Postby vecciora » Jun 6th, '25, 16:47

Hi, I had a great experience playing the game Pingus when I was young.

One of the most memorable things was the music. I'd like to listen to the Pingus game music outside of the game while doing other activities.

Does anyone know how I can get it? I don't want to stream it on YouTube.

From the Github sources...
https://github.com/Pingus/pingus/tree/master/data/music

Download the *.it files. They can be opened as example with VLC.

Yes the music is wonderful :)

A couple weeks ago, my 15yo daughter started Pingus just to listen to the nice music while doing homework.

... And she could not refrain from playing the game a bit too

That computer she played on ages ago was a Thinkpad T43 which i used before, and now i use it again (dual booting to MS XP for servicing old machinery).

Thinkpads and Pingus never get old :)
At home & work Mandriva since 2006, Mageia 2011. Thinkpad T40, T43, T60, T400, T510, Dell M4400, M6300, Acer Aspire 7. Workstation using LVM, LUKS, VirtualBox, BOINC

It works! Now I could relieve a part of my childhood without playing the game. :)
