I've never felt as comfortable with any other distro as I do with Mageia. Maybe it’s because I’m already familiar with its workflow. Besides, I’ve always felt that Mandriva was my true “home,” both in appearance and in usability.
After finally getting my own personal PC again, I tried installing Ubuntu. But something just didn’t feel right. It was as if something was missing.
Eventually, I started searching again for the best Mandriva-based distro. I felt the need to return to a Mandriva derivative because I’ve always had a deep appreciation for it. I did consider OpenMandriva, but to me, it felt too experimental and had drifted too far from the Mandriva I once knew. Like with the absence of a classic (non-live) installer.
Now, I've installed Mageia and set it up to be as comfortable as possible. It looks like I'll be getting productive again with Mageia on my personal machine.
Thanks to the Mageia team for creating and maintaining this project. Mageia truly is the distribution that makes me feel most at home.
