TIP Underscan Border round desktop HDMI AMD

Had a black border round my desktop when I first installed mageia (I use AMD a8 cpu and HDMI) eventually found how to remove this underscan here:-

in a Konsole or terminal type

su
(Enter your root password at the prompt)

Code: Select all

amdconfig --set-pcs-val=MCIL,DigitalHDTVDefaultUnderscan,0

Then press [Control] D or type exit

reboot your machine and underscan should be gone
