Well Dok, they say it is faster and I
was hoping it allowed extensions that were not from the Chrome Store. It don't.
Also, I did figure out how to do it in Chrome and have been going to post it. The instructions for that are here:
http://www.chromium.org/administrators/policy-templatesThe one extension I care about and I can't find a replacement for is The Ultimate Youtube Downloader. I did get it installed and it allows you to download youtube videos as MP4's or an MP3 if you just want a song from a video.
Anyway, since I posted this I've spent quite awhile trying to set the extension policy and it doesn't work with the instructions for Chrome or Chromium.
I was hoping it would be a nice option without any hassle if Google started locking down Chrome even more. Before Chrome 35, you could just install the extension by dropping it on the Extension setting page in Chrome.
