[SOLVED] ipod nano 6g finally syncs!

Postby madcowsonthewall » Oct 13th, '13, 21:22

The ipod nano 6th generation was made only to work with itunes, but I finally got it working with Mageia 3 and gtkpod. (and banshee)

There's a lot to say about using ipod's, this solution, or the alternative solution which involves Spotify. (the latter I have never tried) This is only about the ipod nano 6th generation, which seems to be very specific.

You need to have gtkpod and libgpod installed. (both via Mageia Control Center)

Download - at your own risk - from http://franck78.ath.cx/

- libhashab.so if you have the 32-bit version of Mageia. (which I have, I haven't tried the 64-bit)
- libhashab64.so if you have the 64-bit version, then rename it to libhashab.so

Place the file in /usr/lib/libgpod
Open a Konsole (or continue) as root (command: su ), change to the directory (command: cd /usr/lib/libgpod) and then: chmod 755 libhashab.so

That's it! Sync your music via gtkpod or bashee!
