Installing Webmin

When you install Webmin you will find that you cannot load it in your browser with https://localhost:10000/ You can do two things:

1- Log in as root in Konsole and start webmin by typing: webmin then go to your browser and load the webmin page.
2- Go to the Mageia Control Center - Go to the System Tab - Choose Manage system services by enabling or disabling them - Scroll down to the bottom and check On boot next to webmin. Now you can load the webmin page without launching the application from Konsole as it will be loaded during boot.

It should probably be mentioned that if you upgrade Webmin to v1.6 via Webmin, the Webmin shell command disappears.

Code: Select all
# systemctl start webmin.service

The above always works for me regardless of version.
