OMG! REISUB - So cool!

Postby artificeprime » Sep 6th, '17, 00:31

THIS Wikipedia page! Two decades of using Linux and I'd never heard of this before or seen it mentioned anywhere, then today I ran across it by pure accident (while not even looking for Linux-related info). I can't even begin to count the annoying jams knowing some of this might have gotten me out of over the years. Maybe I'm the only kid on the block who didn't know, but in case I'm not, I thought I'd post that link here to bring it to others' attention.

Have you tried it?
I tried from a real text terminal: pressed Ctrl-Alt-F4 and logged in as root.
Alt-Sysrq-s do perform an emergency sync.
But the h and space keys do not show any help/list.

Hi Morgano. No, I actually haven't had occasion to yet and worry I'll have forgotten about it by the time I actually do need it, so I posted it here as much as a reminder to myself as for the benefit of others.
