My 64-bit Mageia 1 install goes to 16GB DRAM

Postby wilcal » Aug 10th, '11, 21:16

I wanted to report here that I have successfully added
two additional 4GB DRAM sticks to my video editing machine
running 64-bit Mageia 1. It seems to be doing well. There
have been reports in some distos that 16GB of DRAM causes
problems. During normal usage the System Monitor reports
that less then 10% of the DRAM is being used at any given
time and 0% of DRAM is being used for Cache.
